Monkey Barrel Comedy has announced its first batch of shows for Edinburgh Fringe 2025, with a line-up of established names and young upstarts presenting more than 60 shows across nine venues. Tickets for all shows are on sale now.

Amongst the line-up is a strong showing for stand-ups on the Scottish scene, including Billy Connolly Spirit Of Glasgow award winner Rosco McClelland, and the hosts of the Some Laugh podcast, Marc Jennings, Stephen Buchanan, and Stuart McPherson. Local favourites including Liam Withnail, Christopher Macarthur-Boyd, Krystal Evans, Tamsyn Kelly, and Sam Lake (host of the Monkey Barrel Comedy produced podcast I’ve Had a Rosé, Let’s Talk About Feelings) also feature.

Other Monkey Barrel favourites appearing this August include Pierre Novellie, Vittorio Angelone, Helen Bauer, Olga Koch, and 2024 Edinburgh Comedy Award nominees Josh Glanc and Chris Cantrill. Newcomers to the Edinburgh institution include Gianmarco Soresi, Mike Rice, Diona Doherty, Laura Lexx, Jena Friedman, and Sindhu Vee, while former Best Newcomers Joe Kent-Walters and Urooj Ashfaq will also appear.
