Trash Test Dummies Circus
Environmental messaging is a big theme for kids and families at this year’s Fringe, but how to make tidying up after yourself fun? Try Trash Test Dummies Circus. From the comical goons who brought you Splash Test Dummies, a trio of bendy binmen (as slick as their stage is messy) showcase their precision-drilled slapstick, acrobatic and juggling skills to hyped-up effect while throwing some trash-y cultural references into their wheelie bins to keep the grown-ups on side too.

Kaboom!
And how to make science fun? By blowing stuff up, of course. That might appear to be the premise of the Fringe World award-winning Kaboom! but this mad scientist extravaganza from ‘world’s stupidest genius’ and Adelaide debutante Magnus Danger Magnus is essentially a spectacular science lesson which encourages kids to push that button, pull that lever and satisfy their curiosity.

For something a little more… snotty, there’s more science stuff afoot in Mr Snotbottom Vs The Zombie Boogers: The Science Of Snot!. What is mucus? Why do we sneeze? And what happens when you (ahem) eat your boogers? With lots of gags, giggles and goo, this show is perfect for those aged 6 and up.

Seven Little Wonders
South Australian company The PaperBoats celebrate the power of art and creation in their latest family show Seven Little Wonders. Created for 3–8 year olds by veteran theatre-maker Dave Brown, the tale of StarMan Sam’s quest to make his way home is inspired by the seven colours of the rainbow and seven notes in the musical scale. Live music, video projections and interactive lighting all come together to create a symphony of sound and sparkle.
Goodwood Theatre And Studios, Thursday 22–Saturday 24 February, various times.

Monski Mouse's Baby Cabaret
Got tiny ones on board? Monski Mouse has got you covered with Monski Mouse’s Baby Cabaret. This live singalong of nursery classics includes puppets and fun as well as elephants, fish, wiggly worms and transport: your classic pre-school bangers, in other words. If that’s not enough to shake the fidgets out, try Monski Mouse’s Baby Disco Dance Hall for some 0–5 old-skool bops.
