Brambles Café
5 Main Street, Inveraray
Part of an operation that includes a hotel and coffee shop, this warmly rustic café fits right into Inveraray’s old-worldy high street with a window of sumptuous cakes and bakes. Well-prepared and generous lunches range from open sandwiches on bloomer slabs to family-friendly mains.

Cù Mara
The Old Pier, Shore Road, Arrochar
The hills and loch around Arrochar are the scenic outlook for this cosy diner. Top-notch dishes are star-spangled with US favourites, from great burgers and hot dogs to excellent pizza and fried chicken. Local suppliers pepper the menu.

Loch Fyne Oyster Bar, Restaurant & Deli
Clachan, Cairndow
What began as an oyster farm in the 1970s has grown into an institution, with restaurant, oyster bar and deli. At the head of Loch Fyne, this place is smart and stylish, buzzing with locals and tourists enjoying the operation’s own produce alongside impeccably handled regional seafood.

Lulabelles Of Tarbert
58 Harbour Street, Tarbert
Next to the harbour, Lulabelles’ menu and quirky décor will take you on an enjoyable spin around the world. Small plates with a street-foody vibe are to the fore, while local seafood is tinged with globe-trotting influences. For a big hit of surf, order the Cajun seafood boil (12 hour’s notice required).

Ocho Inverary
Quay Close, Inveraray
Having migrated from Glasgow to this attractive lochside venue, elegant and inventive dishes are served for lunch and tasting dinners, sandwiches are available, and the set menu is tempting, offering deftly cooked food.
