Charlie Chaplin and Fred Astaire films. Artist Otto Dix and the Weimar Republic period of German history. Merce Cunningham. Pina Bausch. My old history teacher, Philip MacKenzie, at the Royal High School.

4 reasons people should see your show, DoublePoints: K
It’s an amazing piece of dance. The music will shock and delight people, switching between Bach and very modern electro music. It’s very constructed yet quite fragile and beautiful. It’s got a hell of a lot packed into 30 minutes!

3 things you love most about dancing
The moment when you take off – it can happen in class, in rehearsals and almost always on stage. That anyone can understand the beauty of dance. I love the routine and discipline – it keeps you grounded and together.

2 other dance shows you’ll be watching at this year’s Fringe/Festival
2FaCeD DaNcE and the Steve Reich Evening by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker.
