The Wachowskis' action spectacular Sense8 has been cancelled. But there's good news for fans as Netflix have given them a two hour final episode (available from 8 Jun) to wrap up their global mind link sci-fi odyssey. Marvel's Luke Cage (Mike Colter) however is back for a full second run (22 Jun); this time the super strong hero of Harlem takes on a new villain, Bushmaster (Mustafa Shakir), alongside the return of Misty Knight (Simone Missick) now sporting a cybernetic arm, love interest Night Nurse (Rosario Dawson) and special guest Iron Fist (Finn Jones) nicely setting up the 'Heroes for Hire' double act from the comics. More action, of a very different kind, in the return of female wrestling dramedy GLOW (29 Jun) starring the amazing Alison Brie.

After Making a Murderer and Wild Wild Country we know Netflix make exemplary documentaries. November 13: Attack on Paris (1 Jun) details the horror of the Paris terror attack of 2015; The Staircase (8 Jun) examines the trial and case against author Michael Peterson who was accused of murdering his wife in 2001, while Recovery Boys (29 Jun) tackles America's opioid epidemic, following four men as they attempt to rebuild their lives after years of addiction. Unsolved: Tupac & Biggie (18 Jun) is a scripted drama based on the rivalry and subsequent murder of hip hop superstars Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls.

Big films include the all girl Ghostbusters reboot (7 Jun), superior sci-fi sequel Star Trek: Beyond (21 Jun), Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill's adults-only CGI animation Sausage Party (26 Jun), an insight into the life of Grace Jones in feature length doc Bloodlight and Bami (1 Jun); shark attack movie The Shallows (30 Jun); crime biog Black Mass (25 Jun) starring a baldy Johnny Depp and comedy Alex Strangelove (8 Jun), written and directed by Craig Johnson (The Skeleton Twins) who subverts the usual teenage tropes with an LGBT twist.

And for RuPaul's Drag Race obsessives the season 10 finale will be available on 29 Jun!
