Halloween may be on a weekday this year but don't let that stop you from donning your best spooky outfit and celebrating in an appropriate manner. Edinburgh and Glasgow both have some excellent parties lined up over the weekend and on the day itself, with sets from the likes of Jackmaster, Richie Hawtin and Jacques Greene. We round up some of the best events taking place across the two cities this Halloween.
Cowgate Halloween Foodbank Fundraiser
Some of Edinburgh's top DJs and promoters join forces to raise funds for a good cause, with sets from Lezure, Hector's House, Groovers, Ritual and more over three rooms. All proceeds from the night will be donated to food banks in Edinburgh and there will also be a raffle featuring prizes and tickets from local businesses.

Maximum Pressure Halloween
Slam's new party series Maximum Pressure launches with a special Halloween edition, which sees a takeover of the entire SWG3 complex with appearances from Richie Hawtin, Rødhåd, Laurent Garnier, DeepChord, Jasper James and IDA.

Elrow Edinburgh: Haunted Halloween House
Elrow bring their massive Halloween Haunted House production to Edinburgh for the first time, with a cracking lineup featuring Jackmaster B2B Jasper James, Art Department, Mall Grab and more plus interactive performers, stilt-walkers and street theatre. Expect spooky visuals and lots of surprises along the way.

Subculture Harriween
One of many Sub Club Halloween events taking place over the weekend and beyond. Head to the club on Saturday for a Subculture Halloween special, featuring none other than Harri, who will be on the decks all night long.

Black Magic Nostalgic
Long-running Edinburgh club night Magic Nostalgic returns for a Halloween party where fancy dress is very much encouraged. The Magic Nostalgic wheel is spun every 30 minutes, determining what genre will be played next, with everything from power ballads and Motown to hip hop and boy bands making an appearance.

Jacques Greene Halloween
Genre-defining DJ and producer Jacques Greene returns to Glasgow following the release of his debut album Feel Infinite. Join him at the Berkeley Suite for a Halloween themed live set with M.Bootyspoon on support.

Denis Sulta's Spooktacular Halloween
Denis Sulta presents a 12-hour Halloween bash taking place across two venues in the city. During the day, head to the Leith Theatre for sets from Sulta himself, Chaos in the CBD, Dixon Avenue Basement Jams and others still to be announced and then get shuttled to the Liquid Rooms in the evening where you'll find Big Miz, Kornel Kovacs and more playing into the wee hours.
