Enjoy expertly curated cinema from the comfort of your living room with Filmhouse at Home

The new online streaming platform from the Filmhouse team launches today
Promising a hand-picked selection of award-worthy films that represent independent and world cinema at its best, Filmhouse at Home is the new online streaming platform from the team at Filmhouse in Edinburgh and the Belmont Filmhouse in Aberdeen. Supported by the Weston Cultural Fund, the site goes live today, Fri 26 Mar.
With the six-time Oscar-nominated Minari available to rent soon, the Filmhouse at Home programme will initially offer 20+ titles, with prices starting from as little as £3.50. Amongst those selected are: the award-winning Stray, about stray dogs on the streets of Istanbul; Vadim Perelman's Holocaust survival drama Persian Lessons; and a recent favourite of ours, Poly Styrene: I Am a Cliché, a documentary about the eponymous punk pioneer, co-written and directed by her daughter. Also available is The Rider, the second feature from Chloé Zhao, whose most recent film Nomadland is the current favourite to win Best Picture at this year's Academy Awards.
Rod White, the Head of Programming at Filmhouse Cinemas, explains more, 'We're excited to announce the launch of Filmhouse at Home. Our brand-new video on demand platform is another way for audiences to engage with the kind of cinema on which our reputation is built. Given a percentage of the online ticket price comes directly to us, it also offers another way in which you can support us across everything we do.'
