With clubbing totally off the agenda during the past year's pandemic, an innovative mash-up of some of the UK's favourite alt and indie club nights may be just what we need to get us dancing again. Curated by Rocktail Riot founders Djamel Makhlouf and Holly Cook, alongside DJ Gem Precious, Fusion Fest will be live streamed from 5.30pm to 1.30am on Fri 2 and Sat 3 April via Mixcloud, Twitch and YouTube, and is being brought to you in association with Fightback Lager.

Although a partnership with Dr Martens has meant that the event is available to watch for free, it aims to raise funds for Music Venue Trust's Save Our Venues campaign, and so donations are most definitely encouraged. Promoters onboard include Propaganda (who run the UK's biggest club night), Facedown, Uprawr and Rocktail Riot, while there's a Camden Barfly tribute set from former Jubilee Club resident DJ Joe Atari, and special guest sets from Zoe London and Suicide Girls.

Mark Davyd, the CEO of Music Venue Trust, explains more: 'Grassroots music venues across the country play host to a huge range of club nights celebrating a diverse and eclectic range of music. For nearly a year we have been missing those nights, those chances to be together, to celebrate, dance and sing. We are delighted to see Fusion Fest celebrating this incredibly important part of what makes our network a vital part of the night-time economy.'

For more information, updates regarding the line-up and exclusive promotional offers, head to the Facebook event page. To view the event on Friday 2 and Sat 3 April, visit Fusion Fest on YouTube or Twitch.

Donations to Music Venue Trust's Save Our Venues campaign can be made via GoFundMe.
