Edinburgh’s Castle Of Light : A Kingdom of Colours
One of the few illuminated trails happening in the heart of a major city, Edinburgh’s Castle Of Light : A Kingdom of Colours will drench Edinburgh Castle in state-of-the-art projections and a kaleidoscope of colours. The loveable Rex the lion rampant, will make the experience engaging for kids while adults will be able to appreciate the incredible lights and the atmosphere within the castle grounds.

Blenheim Palace
Blenheim Palace has hosted illuminated trails for years, cementing their reputation as one of the go-to locations in the south of England during the festive season. This year they’ve given their tried and tested formula a new lick of paint with the theme Snow Queen. This grand location is awe-inspiring all year round, but even more impressive when drenched in Christmas spirit.

Ashridge House: Illuminated
Ashridge House has teamed up with veteran illuminated trail creators Luminism to create a brand-new winter wander crammed with festive novelty. As well as the new light show for 2022, the country manor will play host to a food and drink village with seasonal foodstuffs. This one’s describing itself as ‘multi-sensory’ so expect plenty of memorable sights and sounds.

Windsor Great Park: Illuminated
Windsor Great Park’s illuminated trail is returning in 2022 with a bigger and more elaborate series of installations. The park’s dazzling displays of colour, flood-lit fountains and reflections will make the woodland come alive at night.

Glow Illuminations
Taking place at Cobtree Manor Park, Glow Illuminations has crafted a new trail with the theme ‘nature after dark’. Local light artists and performers have created an experience with underwater themes and a special guest appearance from Father Christmas himself. Relaxed sensory sessions are also available at the event to create a more comfortable evening for those with additional needs and neurodiversity.

Christmas at Belton
The National Trust manor house Belton and its environs will be filled with over a million lights and a selection of seasonal sounds in November and December. Glistening trees will be drenched in colour and tunnels will spark with light, alongside a variety of food options and visits from seasonal characters.

Christmas at Bedgebury
The after-dark trail at Bedgebury will return with its well-regarded presentation, featuring fire gardens and larger-than-life illuminations. The visitor’s café will also offer plenty of winter warmers, including hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows.
