Egg hunts and other Easter activities for kids in Glasgow

Balloons, magic, workshops and chocolate to keep children entertained over the holidays
The Easter holidays are here so the annual festival of chocolate is almost upon us. The Cadbury Egg Trail has become embroiled in a some nonsense 'controversy' but is a good old fashioned chocolate egg hunt taking place at various National Trust properties around Scotland – including Holmwood House, Pollock House and Greenbank Gardens – across the Easter weekend.
Hard Rock Café is hosting a special Breakfast with Bunny (15 & 16 Apr) with a big buffet, egg hunt and an appearance from the main man himself (that's the Easter Bunny, who were you expecting?). Scotland Street Museum is mixing things up with free Easter Bunny Mask Making (12 Apr) followed by a trail to find chicks hidden amongst the exhibits. Rainbow Twisters have used 20,000 balloons to create an inflatable Easter Wonderland at Springfield Quay (running until 17 Apr) alongside balloon making workshops and an egg hunt.
If your little ones prefer something a bit more hands on the Easter ARTScool at House For an Art Lover is offering three day workshops with a spring theme making bird-boxes, bird-feeders and Easter cards; Ariel Ledge are hosting a two day Easter Circus School (12 & 13 Apr) with trapeze, trampoline and acrobatics classes or if theatre is more up your kid's / teen's street there's an Easter Holiday Drama Workshop at Kelvinside Hillhead Parish Church (5–7 Apr).
The Glasgow Science Centre is inviting you to 'Eggs-Splore' their new Question of Perception Zone, packed with illusions and puzzles, over the holidays. Easter activities include Lazer Cutting, Virtual Reality (over 13s only), Science of Superheroes (8, 16 & 17 Apr) and the Egg Drop Challenge.
Family friendly performances across the Easter weekend include puppet show I Spy with PC Mckay (15 Apr) and Alex the Magician's Easter Eggstravaganza Show (16 Apr). Or get your skates on (literally) as Glasgow's RollerStop Roller Rink are hosting several Roller Discos throughout April.
