Leeds is well-known for its thriving nightlife and amazing clubs and New Year's Eve is no exception. If you're unsure of where to go to celebrate the arrival of 2017, we have a few ideas.

Canal Mills (Brandon St) will be hosting another New Year's Eve extravaganza after last year's big sell out. Canal Mills Presents NYE 2016 will feature MK, Shadow Child and GotSome plus more special guests still to be announced.

Returning to the Leeds Warehouse (19–21 Somers St), Wax Format's vinyl-only party will include a line-up of international DJs from Marco V and Binary Finary to Signum and Robert Nickson. Enjoy three rooms of some of the best production around.

At Wire Club (2–8 Call Ln), a very special guest will be taking to the decks at Butter Side Up x Louche's NYE party, with support from residents Josh Tweek, Hamish Cole and Jonny Sleight. If previous events run by both club nights are anything to go by, this will be one party not to miss.

Over at Pryzm (The Merrion Centre, 16–18 Woodhouse Ln), usher in the New Year with Charlie Sloth and East 17 while at the nearby HiFi Club (2 Central Rd) catch DJ Marko Afro for a NYE special of MoveOnUp.

If house and techno mixed in with a bit of pizzazz is your thing, there's nowhere better than Neverland NYE 2016 at Angelica (Trinity Leeds, 70 Boar Ln). With music from the likes of Graeme Park, Clara Da Costa and Buckley, otherworldly decorations and weird and wonderful visuals, it's set to be a great night.

Check out Projekt NYE for a near 2700 capacity crowd that takes over the O2 Academy (55 Cookridge St) every Saturday. Their New Year's Eve party will no doubt be a big one so don't be surprised if tickets disappear early.

Over at the West Indian Centre (10 Laycock Pl), Subdub Meets Jungle Jam will present their huge NYE spectacle with two rooms dedicated to dub, jungle and drum n bass. Expect sets from Iration Steppas Sound System, Mungo's Hi Fi, Kenny Ken & Ragga Twins and many more heavyweights of jungle and dub reggae.

Circus of the Lost is exactly what it sounds like; a circus themed club night at Beaver Works (36 Whitehouse St), with performers, fairground rides, attractions, fireworks and great live music/DJs. There's also the Old Red Bus Station's (104 Vicar Ln) NYE Party which promises to have good drinks, good music and good people.
