Are you rebel scum or a foot soldier for the Empire? Find out at innovative new Star Wars exhibition this November

Star Wars fans, take a deep breath and prepare yourself. The Star Wars Identities exhibition is coming to The O2 arena in London this November, along with an exclusive collection of 200 props, models, costumes, and artworks from the original trilogy and the later prequels. Okay, now commence nerdgasm.

This unique and groundbreaking exhibition explores the concept of identity through characters from the Star Wars universe as visitors are taken on an interactive quest and leave with a personalised Star Wars character of their very own. Maybe you'll be a Jedi knight, a construction worker earning minimum wage on the Death Star, or just another rebel scum. Whatever floats your X-Wing, perhaps it's the dark side of the force?

You'll rediscover characters you've come to know for almost 40 years through an entirely new light thanks to a team of experts behind this modern exhibition's scientific content, including geneticists, neuropsychologists and psychologists. Developers of the exhibition divided the study of identity into three major themes: the origins of the characters, the influences that shaped them, and the choices they make during their life. Within these three themes, ten components of identity are explored: species, genes, parents, and culture in Origins; mentors, friends, and marking events in Influences; and occupation, personality, and values in the final zone, Choices. This forms the backbone of the exhibition, whilst 'making of' featurettes explores the stories behind the development of many iconic Star War characters.

The exhibition is the result of collaboration between Montreal's X3 Productions and Lucasfilm Ltd, with access to the extensive archive collection held at Lucas Museum of Narrative Art.

'This exhibition offers a fresh perspective on the beloved characters of Star Wars,' says Jacques-André Dupont, President and Executive Producer of X3 Productions. 'We get a deeper understanding of their identities, and, at the same time, we get a deeper understanding of our own. The collection, the interactive components, and the scientific content work hand in hand here to create a seamless and exciting experience for our visitors. It's a character-driven adventure into identity.'

Star War Identities opens at The O2 on 18 November 2016 and runs till 3 September 2017.

Tickets on sale from today, 26 Sep.
