Edinburgh Fringe Sustainable Practice Award shortlist announced

Nominations for the 2016 prize have been announced by Creative Carbon Scotland
Creative Carbon Scotland and Center for Sustainable Practice in the Arts have just announced the shortlist for the Edinburgh Fringe Sustainable Practice Award 2016. The organisation received more applications that in any previous year. When deciding on the finalists, special consideration was given to productions' sustainability practice and / or themes in their work, with a particular emphasis on innovative design.
The 23 productions selected tackle a range of issues from homelessness and experiences of youth in a changing world to the impacts of climate change on people and their homes.
The shortlist is:

The winner will be announced at 10.30am, Fri 26 Aug at Edinburgh's Festival Theatre.
The 2015 winner was Paines Plough for their production of Lungs, written by Duncan Macmillan.
