Aboriginal Comedy Allstars comedy review: Hilarious line-up of the best Australian comedians
Feel-good sets from the best make a perfect end to the Adelaide Fringe

With some of the country’s best comedians together on one stage, Aboriginal Comedy Allstars guarantees a night of non-stop laughs and is the perfect way to wrap up your Adelaide Fringe season.
There really is something for everyone. Kevin Kropinyeri hosts expertly, hyping up audience and comedians equally with his infectious high-energy. Janty Blair sparkles in a tight and hilarious set on dating, while Elaine Crombie’s equally magnetic presence keeps the audience enthralled. Jay Wymarra offers some (necessary) revisions to The Lord of the Rings universe, with a blend of camp humour, ukulele work, and an impeccable Kiwi accent. Andy Saunders casually deadpans the audience into stitches, and Sean Choolburra proves that he’s ‘the godfather of Aboriginal comedy’ for a reason. A bit on five decades of dance crazes is a fantastic way to wrap up nearly 90 minutes of excellent comedy which leaves the whole audience feeling good.
At the start of the show, Kropinyeri tells us that whatever love and energy the audience gives to the comedians, the comedians will give back tenfold. He is absolutely right. Aboriginal Comedy Allstars flies by in a blur of energy, laughter, and music; it’s impossible to not have a good time.
