Tell us what the Adelaide festivals mean to you

Adelaide during festival season? It's pure magic. It's the only time of the year where you have every reason to be out every night of the week, including Monday!

What does your perfect Adelaide day look like?

Have to take my sweet little Patsy for a walk and start the day with the best coffee in Adelaide from DAYJOB Coffee and check out the gorgeous blooms inside at East End Flower Market while I'm there. I always stop in at Little Ms Waste-Not Vintage on Rundle Street for a dress-up if I'm in the area too.

Tell us what you’ll be up to – performing, promoting, writing; what are you bringing to the party?

This is a very exciting Adelaide Fringe season for me as I'm producing two brand new shows. Tash York's Chaos Cabaret is a line-up variety show, playing at Gluttony, where the audience use a QR code voting system to create madness and even the performers don't know how the night will unfold. And A Friend Of Dorothy: Anthems Of Pride is a joyous cabaret, filled with colourful storytelling, a four-piece band, and lots of nostalgic music.

Gotta keep those energy levels up, so where do you stop for sustenance?

Sunmi's Sushi at the Central Market for the Korean green pancakes (with the special sauce of course), Exchange Coffee in Vardon Avenue for the Wallace sandwich, and ending on Hutt Street at Latteria for a few small share plates and a nice wine.

What shows are you most looking forward to seeing?

Skinnybecause Michelle's Pearson's voice is unreal. Late To The Party: The ADHD Hourbecause sameBisexual Intellectualsbecause half-same (I'll let you guess which...)

Is there an under-the-radar spot, event or performer you think we should know about?

I have to shout out Plant 4 Bowden: fifteen all-local shows programmed with amazing food and drink options, and air conditioning. And if you haven't been to Gemma Caruana's show, you really must.

Tash York's Chaos Cabaret, BankSA Theatre at Gluttony - Rymill Park, Tuesday 11–Sunday 23 March; A Friend Of Dorothy: Anthems Of Pride, Mezzanine at Plant 4 Bowden, Saturday 22 February–Sunday 16 March; main picture: Kyahm Ross.
