All In rolls out first batch of events ahead of Commonwealth Games 2026

Months before it begins, the Commonwealth Games is already making its mark across Scotland. Set to take place from Thursday 23 July–Sunday 2 August, the Games will be a celebration of sporting prowess welcoming 3,000 athletes from 74 nations and territories to Glasgow.

Its community-led arm, All In, is set to have a footprint almost as large as the Games themselves. Positioning itself as a ‘national call to action’ for the Commonwealth Games, All In has announced its first wave of events which invites communities, schools, sports clubs, cultural and voluntary organisations and businesses to celebrate the Games.

The first tranche of events encompasses the ambition of All In, taking in gala days, dances, races, shinty, pipe bands, and more. Included in the line-up is the Renfrew Gala Day, which promises an annual parade, family-friendly activities, food and market stalls, and funfair rides; Spring Clean Scotland, an annual litter picking campaign across Scotland; the Linlithgow Games, a day of sport directly inspired by the Commonwealth Games; and the Renfrew Pipe Band Competition, which will feature live music from pipe bands all day.

Designed to highlight community events, All In aims to support anyone who wants to put on an event, offering free official branding, ready-to-use digital toolkits and opportunities for nationwide visibility.

Submissions remain open for the All In initiative, with full details on how to get involved available on the Commonwealth Games official website

The Commonwealth Games itself will be exhibited across four Glasgow venues (Scotstoun Stadium, Scottish Event Campus (SEC), the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome and Arena, and Tollcross International Swimming Centre), and will feature the biggest track cycling, swimming and three-by-three basketball competitions ever staged at a Commonwealth Games, alongside a record-breaking para sport programme.
