Amanda Palmer
Dresden doll

She may be familiar to some as one half of The Dresden Dolls, the drum’n’piano duo who do for Weimar cabaret what The White Stripes did for Mississippi blues. Palmer strides out on her own for the third year at the Fringe with a clutch of new songs frm her soon to arrive solo album (which she’s working on with Ben Folds) as well as some familiar favourites. There has always been a spark of palpable drama to her music, so expect even more when she’s unfettered by the bindings of the traditional rock show format.
