Andrew Wasylyk & Tommy Perman release new single, announce summer tour of UK
The newly formed duo will hit venues in Glasgow, Edinburgh and London throughout August and September
Andrew Wasylyk & Tommy Perman have released their first single as a duo, ‘Communal Imagination’, and announced a tour of the UK for summer 2024. Wasylyk (the multiple SAY award-nominee and member of veteran indie act Idlewild) and Perman (ex-FOUND member) dropped the atmospheric single in anticipation of their as-yet untitled collaborative album, which will be released on Clay Pipe Music later in the year.
As described in a press release from the band, ‘Wasylyk’s trademark searching, cinematic piano chords float above Perman’s distinct juddering rhythms, conjuring a Balaeric abstraction of Basil Kirchin. Elsewhere, saxophones and choral vocals climb above fluttering Juno synths in a unifying chorus.’
