Gig promoters 432 Presents have unveiled a brand-new gig series titled Big Nights Out, welcoming a panoply of musical talent to the Kelvingrove Bandstand and Queen’s Park Arena next summer. Tickets for the shows go on general sale at 10am on Friday 29 November.

Top of the list of gigs is Arab Strap (pictured above), Aidan Moffat and Malcolm Middleton’s long-running indie rock project which has enjoyed a second life since reforming in 2016 and releasing the albums As Days Get Dark and I’m Totally Fine With Don’t Give A Fuck Anymore.

Also on the bill are indie veterans Camera Obscura, former Ultravox frontman Midge Ure, uncanny mop top facsimiles Bootleg Beatles, wildlife musical project Beluga Lagoon, and more.

Representatives of 432 Presents said, ‘We are excited to be bringing Big Nights Out to Glasgow next summer! Set within the beautiful surrounds of two of the city’s most beloved green spaces, the atmosphere at these popular outdoor amphitheatres is always electric and there is nothing quite like sipping a cold drink in great company as the sun sets behind one of your favourite bands of all time. We can’t wait! See you down the front.’
