Scottish indie rockers Arab Strap (vocalist Aidan Moffat and multi-instrumentalist Malcolm Middleton) are releasing a compilation album on 30 September.

Celebrating two decades years of music, the self-titled double album Arab Strap will feature 20 songs and it releases ahead of October's special anniversary shows in Manchester and Glasgow.

Featured tracks include 'Shy Retirer', 'Love Detective', 'The Clearing' and 'Rocket Take Your Turn'. Vocalist Aidan Moffat explains the band's tracklist: 'We chose 20 songs – one for each year since we started – and decided to split them into two lots of 10. The first disc's a kind of best-of, but we just stuck to the more electronic stuff for this – there's so many different sounds going on in Arab Strap albums, so we wanted to make it a more coherent whole.' Disc two features rarities from EPs, b-sides and outtakes.

Arab Strap is out on 30 September on Chemikal Underground.
