Be United announces creative partnerships conference with Fresh Fruit

The charity Be United has announced Be United x Fresh Fruit: Create Something Beautiful, a creative partnerships conference event taking place on Wednesday 18 February at Fruitmarket. The event is a collaboration between Be United and Fresh Fruit, Fruitmarket’s youth arts programme supporting young people aged 18-30 to co-produce projects, exhibitions, workshops and events.

With a focus on centring black creatives and artists from other underrepresented or marginalised backgrounds, this year’s programme will aim to celebrate the vibrant intersection between art, industry and inclusion.

Topping the programme is Create Something Beautiful, a performance-lecture created and directed by Be United’s CEO, Muse Greenwood, which combines live classical music by Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges and a marketing-focused presentation delivered by Akinwale Fayemiro (pictured above).

Following the performance Be United’s Marketing, Media, and Communications Manager, Monika Navickaitė, will lead a facilitated networking session, followed by a DJ set from Glasgow-based DJ Tekhole.
