Be United revs up for Soulstice event
The live music event will feature up-and-coming acts Chelsea K & The Band, Kozyeli and Dromon

Be United, a charity promoting black voices in the Scottish arts, has announced its latest event, Soulstice, a showcase of three up-and-coming music acts that will ‘kick off this year’s summer’. Taking place at Candleriggs, Glasgow, on Sunday 21 June, tickets for the show are on sale now.
The night of live music will feature Chelsea K & The Band, an upbeat act which draws from neo soul, reggae and dub to capture a free-flowing, exuberant atmosphere. Also on the bill is Kozyeli, a hip hop artist who aims to ‘inspire authenticity in oneself, positivity, transparency, alchemy and open-mindedness.’ Finally, there’s Dromon, who’s crafting afrobeat tunes with smooth melodies.
The programme was assembled by Be United’s Producing The Future cohort, a batch of emerging talent making their first steps towards a career in events management. Be United itself has become a common sight in events listings, with previous gigs including a large Fringe presence last year for its One Love Nation shows. According to representatives for the charity, the One Love Nation strand will return at this year’s Fringe, with more details to be confirmed as the event draws near.
