Best tickets on sale this week: Jamie T, Ne-Yo, Levellers and more

Look into my eyes and what do you see? A man of infinite experience who has witnessed events you could never hope to comprehend? A swirling galaxy of stars and planets in the very twinkle of my pupils? The unravelling concept of human misery in a single cornea?

No, within these eternally bright peepers is a message far more profound than any of that. On the glassy surface of my iris you see a message which reads, ‘This is a roundup of the best tickets on sale this week. Have a gander and discover where the hottest acts are playing throughout this year and next.’

Welcome to the best tickets on sale this week.

Jamie T

Poet laureate of cockerney geezers Jamie T is having a right old knees-up across the UK this winter in support of his latest album The Theory Of Whatever. The veteran songwriter has spent his career with a near-myopic focus on the antics of London lads and roustabouts, and formed a formidable back catalogue of indie bangers. No matter what he plays, expect to hear a rousing rendition of ‘Sheila’ before the gig’s end.

Tickets for Jamie T’s UK tour go on sale at 9am on Friday 8 July.

Ne-Yo

The original certified lover boy Ne-Yo is coming to the UK for a short run of gigs this September. With a voice silkier than Lenor conditioner, the mid-2000s star seems to have been mounting a comeback of sorts, with new album Self-Explanatory set for release on Friday 15 July via Motown Records. His massive UK arena shows will feature a selection of cuts from his new material alongside fan-favourite tracks like 'Because Of You', 'Miss Independent' and 'So Sick'.

Tickets for Ne-Yo’s UK tour go on sale at 10am on Friday 8 July.

Levellers

Unique folk-punk outfit the Levellers are mounting an acoustic tour of the UK, presumably so their increasingly ageing fans can have a seat while they enjoy some tunes. The Levellers have always been a lot of fun on the stage, and we can’t imagine an unplugged performance will lose any of its vibrancy.

Tickets for Levellers' acoustic tour go on sale at 10am on Friday 8 July.

Stereolab

Indie dancefloor botherers Stereolab will be hitting the UK this November to regale fans with their distinctive brand of Anglo-French pop. The band have been a pleasing oddity on the pop and rock scene since they formed in 1990, too leftfield to identify with the Britpop wave of the 90s and far too intellectually rigorous fall into the bracket of mainstream pop. We’ll be buying a ticket for their show at Edinburgh’s Liquid Rooms on Tuesday 29 November. Hopefully we’ll see you there.

Tickets for Stereolab’s UK tour go on sale at 10am on Friday 8 July.

Also on sale this week…

George Ezra has added a warm-up show at the O2 Academy in Oxford on Thursday 14 July. Tickets for the show go on sale at 9am on Friday 8 July.

Gary Barlow has added three new shows to his one0man show A Different Stage. The shows will take place in Cambridge and Truro throughout August. Tickets for the new dates go on sale at 9.30am on Friday 8 July.
