Black Grape announce It's Great When You're Straight, Yeah 30th Anniversary UK tour
Shaun Ryder and Paul Leveridge will hit the road this autumn

Black Grape have announced a tour of the UK this autumn to mark 30 years since their album It's Great When You're Straight, Yeah was released. Tickets for the shows go on sale at 10am on Friday 31 January. Scroll to the bottom of this article for a detailed list of the band’s UK performances.
Featuring members of the Happy Mondays and the Ruthless Rap Assassins, Black Grape were mainly the brainchild of Shaun Ryder and Paul Leveridge, and fused elements of rap, funk, rock and electronica. It's Great When You're Straight, Yeah remains their biggest release, not least for its iconic pop art cover and three top 20 singles.
The group then infamously imploded after Ryder fired everyone midway through touring their second album Stupid Stupid Stupid. Since 2010, they intermittently reformed to perform one-off gigs before releasing two more full-length albums: Pop Voodoo in 2017 and Orange Head in 2024.
Kicking off at Glasgow’s QMU Friday 28 November, the band will then make stops in Newcastle, Sheffield, Wolverhampton, Bristol, Southampton, Brighton, London and Nottingham, with a closing date at Manchester’s Academy on Saturday 20 December. Support will come from fellow 90s' survivors, Dodgy.
