Colour Theory announces three-day exhibition showcasing BPOC artists
Collective Colours will take place in Glasgow and aims to platform a diverse range of artists

Colour Theory, an organisation which has dedicated itself to amplifying black and people of colour (BPOC) voices from Scotland's creative sector, has revealed plans for a three-day exhibition called Collective Colours, which will showcase 20 visual artists across multiple disciplines.
Taking place from Friday 28 – Sunday 30 November, the three days will include an opening with chances to meet the artists; an evening of conversation exploring identity, representation, and creative practice within Scotland’s artistic landscape; and free entry for the public throughout the exhibition.
The Glasgow-based creative collective is relatively new to Scotland’s cultural scene, but aims to programme more events, workshops, and curated showcases to help make Scotland’s creative scene more inclusive.
‘Colour Theory was born from a desire to carve out space where BPOC creatives are seen, celebrated, and meaningfully connected’, said the collective’s founder Anupa Joshy. ‘BPOC creatives were present, but not always acknowledged or centred. Collective Colours is our way of creating space for artists who deserve to be seen, supported, and celebrated.’
‘Events are designed to be culturally resonant and accessible,’ she continued. ‘We’re creating a safer space grounded in respect, care, and curiosity.’
