Connect announces line-up for 2023 festival

Scottish boutique festival Connect is heading back to Edinburgh’s Royal Highland Showgrounds this summer from Friday 25– Sunday 27 August for another exciting weekend of local and international music, as well as comedy, spoken word and lifestyle offerings.
Scottish legends Primal Scream will headline the first night of the festival, accompanied by Franz Ferdinand, Future Islands, Confidence Man and Jockstrap, amongst others.
On Saturday, Fred again.. headlines the main stage in what will only be his third ever Scottish appearance, while Young Fathers, Róisín Murphy, MUNA, Biig Piig and electronic musician Kelly Lee Owens are among those making up the rest of the day.

In a joint headlining affair, American supergroup boygenius (made up of Lucy Dacus, Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker) will close the festival on Sunday alongside English hip hop artist Loyle Carner. Arab Strap, Raye, Public Service Broadcasting, Olivia Dean and Daniel Avery also feature on the festival's final day.
With the newly expanded camping area, festival-goers can now bring their own tents or opt for pre-pitched options or live-in vehicle sites, while transportation to and from Edinburgh and Glasgow city centres will also be running daily.

Festival Manager Katt Lingard says: 'After such a fantastic festival in 2022, we’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone to an even bigger and bolder edition this summer. We have an unrivalled programme of music, acclaimed comedy and an expanded wellbeing schedule. We're opening our doors to families, with dedicated entertainment for children of all ages, and adding a fantastic artisan food destination. Connect really is a unique event in Scotland, bringing together everything that’s great about live music, being outdoors and I really feel we’ve created something so much bigger than the sum of its parts.'
'Connect is all about being with friends and loved ones, creating our own community for the weekend, full of like-minded people, at one of the most beautiful festivals in the country.'
Pre-sale tickets for Connect go on sale from Thursday 2 March. General sale starts at 10am on Friday 3 March.
