Johnnie Walker has teamed up with award-winning Glasgow-based textile design studio, Timorous Beasties, to create a limited-edition Johnnie Walker Blue Label Rare Side of Scotland – celebrating Scotland's remarkable landscape and unmatched beauty.

The bespoke bottle, etched by Timorous Beasties, showcases the beauty of the Scottish Highlands, drawing inspiration from the country's stunning landscapes and wildlife. The Aurora Borealis dominates much of the bottle, shining theatrically like it does over the Scottish Highlands. Keen bird spotters will recognise three of Scotland's large birds that soar underneath the Northern Lights: the majestic white-tailed eagle, the unmistakable curlew and the rapid eider duck.

Two of Scotland's smallest rare 'beasties' are illustrated alongside the birds. The narrow-bordered bee hawkmoth and Scotland's smallest butterfly, the Small Blue, are etched in beautiful detail on the bottle.

The striking design honours the remarkable ecosystem that has pollinated and nurtured the perfect environment for creating the signature flavours of Johnnie Walker whisky for almost two centuries.

To craft Johnnie Walker Blue Label, the expert whisky makers handpick the finest casks from the four corners of Scotland, picking the rarest barrels for the blend. Only one in every 10,000 casks in their reserves of more than ten million maturing Scotch whiskies has the richness and character required to intricately craft Johnnie Walker Blue Label.
