Edinburgh Jazz And Blues Festival returns to the capital from Friday 11–Sunday 20 July, with musicians from around the world playing at venues across the city, including the long-awaited return of the Famous Spiegeltent in St Andrew Square. This year's edition features more than 100 events, including gigs, workshops, kids events, masterclasses and talks.

And the SPARK programme shines a light on the best jazz from Luxembourg, including Veda Bartinger, Maxime Bender Trio, Michel Meis and Joel Metz. Scottish artists include Nathan Somevi, Emma Smith, Paul Harrison, plus new wave jazz performers Unoma Okudo, TAO and Gaia Jeannot.

The Edinburgh Festival Carnival returns on Sunday 13 July, with more than 750 performers. There will also be a series of interactive shows such as workshops, talks, masterclasses and jam sessions. The festival will stretch its jazzy tendrils to the outskirts of Edinburgh, with live events taking place in Oxgangs, Murrayfield and The Pitt Street Food Market.

Chair of Edinburgh Jazz And Blues Festival, councillor Jason Rust, said: ‘I am delighted that the Edinburgh Jazz And Blues Festival returns for 2025 with an exciting programme that sees us presenting our events at iconic venues right across the city, including a welcome return to The Famous Spiegeltent in St Andrew Square. The festival spans a huge range of styles and specialisms, and features familiar faces, new names and everything in-between. I am proud to see us celebrating the history of the artform in Edinburgh while supporting the brightest and best young talent in Scotland.’
