Edinburgh Psych Fest 2024 announces second wave of line-up
Gruff Rhys, Cloth, La Luz and more added to a roster which already includes Pigs, Pigs, Pigs, Pigs, Pigs, Pigs, Pigs, Temples and NewDad
Edinburgh Psych Fest has added a swathe of new acts to its already teeming line-up of psych rock. The festival will take place on Sunday 1 September, and tickets are on sale now.
Spearheading the festival is Welsh musician Gruff Rhys, the former Super Furry Animals frontman whose latest album Sadness Sets Me Free was released this year on Rough Trade and found the artist mining his trademark accessible psych pop sound.
Also announced are the superlative Seattle-based psych act La Luz (main picture), hazy indie-pop outfit Lime Garden, frantic experimental rock-jazz two piece O., Glasgow’s dreamy slowcore duo Cloth, Post-punk quintet Gurries, duo Logan’s Close, surrealist punk-poetry-rockers Loose Articles, shoegaze outfit TTSSFU, soupy psych-rockers The Wife Guys Of Reddit, and the lo-fi post-punk of Nightshift.
Taking place across The Queen’s Hall and Summerhall, expect more acts to be announced as the festival draws near.
