Edinburgh Seafood Festival has announced its return from Saturday 3 – Monday 5 May, promising a range of stalls, masterclasses, supper clubs, and live cooking demonstrations.

The Seafood Stage will present interactive cooking demonstrations including Sandy Browning (Ka Pao), Jimmy Lee (Salt & Chilli Oriental), Betsy Anderson (Amazon Prime’s World Cook Champion 2024) and Teddy Lee (Maki & Ramen) and mixology masterclasses with Port of Leith Distillery, The Alchemist and The Botanist.

Returning to the festival is Oysterman, which promises to give away 100 oysters across the weekend. Also appearing is a pop-up produce market on level 1 which will showcase delicacies from an array of local artisans including Belhaven Smokehouse and Lind & Lime. Meanwhile, The House Of 0.0% Bar will serve free samples of alcohol-free drinks with samples of Gordon’s, Tanqueray, Captain Morgan and Seedlip for visitors aged 18 or over.

Finally, the Seafood Supper Clubs will again take place in the kitchen space in Miele’s Experience Centre, offering an intimate dinner with Paul Wedgwood and Barry Fish across the weekend.

Also in seafood-related news, we reviewed the first restaurant from prolific chef Barry Fish on Edinburgh’s Leith Shore, which opened last month. 'Decades in events and temporary kitchens have clearly given Bryson plenty of time to consider what makes a restaurant work,’ wrote our reviewer Ailsa Sheldon. ‘He’s nailed it.
