Edinburgh’s Christmas has added a Polar Ice Bar to its packed roster of entertainment for this year’s festive season. It’ll open on Monday 25 November on George Street and promises to be a ‘unique sensory experience’.

Kept to -8°C at all times, all walls, bars, tables and décor in the Polar Ice Bar are made from crystal clear ice using recycled rainwater. Even the glasses are made from pure ice. Don't worry about the cold; visitors will be given warming jackets and gloves on arrival).

It joins a host of other attractions dotted around Edinburgh’s city centre this year, including the Coorie Inn, a brand-new Edinburgh’s Christmas attraction hosting a programme of live music, events, and festive workshops, soon to be announced.

Unique Assembly, producers of Edinburgh’s Christmas said, ‘We are thrilled to present the Polar Ice Bar, a brand-new attraction for Edinburgh’s Christmas and the city that is guaranteed to get visitors in the festive spirit. Wrap-up warm and come join us for the coolest cocktail in town.’

Running from Friday 15 November 2024 until Saturday 4 January 2025 across Edinburgh’s city centre, the packed programme will include the return of the perennially popular Traditional Christmas Market, featuring trinkets, gifts and food and drink stalls across East Princes Street Gardens.
