Fleetwood Mac announce 2013 UK tour dates

2013 European tour includes London, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow

Fleetwood Mac have announced dates for a 2013 European tour, which includes four UK dates in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow.

The tour marks the 35th anniversary of their 1977 album Rumours, undergoing a rennaissance thanks to being reissued recently on CD/DVD and vinyl. Recorded during one of the most turbulent times of the groups existence - following the break-up of the two couples within the band - Rumours has since sold over 40 million copies worldwide and become archetypal of the sound and culture we associate with 'classic' 70s rock. The Classic Albums TV series (available to stream via Lovefilm) featured Rumours in a 1989 programme.

The band line-up for this tour is is Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood and John McVie. Christine McVie is not part of the band, having last performed live with them during the group's 1998 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Many were anticipating a headline 2013 slot at Glastonbury, but recent statements from the band suggest that Glastonbury 2014 might be more likely.

Tickets for the UK dates go on sale Fri 8 Feb 9am.
