Garth Marenghi has announced an 18-date tour of the UK in support of his new book Terrortome. Tickets for the shows go on sale at 10am on Friday 4 November. Scroll to the bottom of this article to find a detailed list of his UK tour dates. 

While he may look and sound like Perrier Award-winning comedian Matthew Holness, Marenghi is in fact a horror writer extraordinaire famed for the lost classic Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace. One of the few writers to have written more books than he’s read, his weighty back catalogue includes timeless quotes like ‘As I rounded the corner I felt muscular and compact, like corned beef’ and 'He whisked off her shoes and panties in one movement, wild like an enraged shark.' 

This goliath of ghoulishness will hit 18 dates across the UK throughout November and December, reading passages from Terrortome and inevitably filling audiences in on the whereabouts of his associates Dean Learner, Todd Rivers and Madeleine Wool (missing, presumed dead). 

Terrortome is set for release on Thursday 3 November. It follows horror writer Nick Steen as he ‘gets sucked into a cursed typewriter by the terrifying Typeface, Dark Lord of the Prolix, the hellish visions inside his head are unleashed for real. Forced to fight his escaping imagination – now leaking out of his own brain – Nick must defend the town of Stalkford from his own fictional horrors, including avascular-necrosis-obsessed serial killer Nelson Strain and Nick’s dreaded throppleganger, the Dark Third.’
