Gary Numan Announces New UK Tour 2024: how to get tickets
The synth-pop pioneer will tour the UK to commemorate two albums from 1979

New Wave singer and automobile exponent Gary Numan has announced a UK tour to commemorate the 45th anniversary of two of his earliest album releases. Tickets for the tour go on sale at 9am on Friday 23 January. Scroll to the bottom of this article for a full list of Numan’s UK tour dates.
The Londoner began his lengthy career as frontman of Tubeway Army in 1977, and they released their debut studio album, Replicas, two years later. Also in 1979, Numan launched his solo career with album The Pleasure Principle, featuring ‘Are “Friends” Electric?’ and ‘Cars’, arguably his most famous track.
Numan’s distinct blend of futuristic soundscapes, together with his trademark themes of dystopia and alienation, helped him gain an enduring cult following. He has evolved his work over the decades, exploring various musical styles and incorporating elements of industrial, gothic, and alternative rock into his repertoire.
The synth-pop troubadour kicks off his tour in Norwich on Sunday 19 May and ends in Nottingham on Saturday 1 June. His lone Scottish date is at Glasgow’s SWG3 on Tuesday 21 May.
