Glasgow Jazz Festival is back with a packed programme running from Wednesday 14– Sunday 18 June across iconic venues including St Luke's, Nice n Sleazy, The Glad Café and The Hug & Pint. Across the festival's five days, some of Scotland's top musicians feature alongside a range of international acts in an eclectic display of live jazz, funk, soul, R&B and blues.

Graham Costello

Stand-out Scottish acts include Mercury-nominated pianist Fergus McCreadie, who will also be playing as part of Graham Costello's SAY Award-nominated STRATA ensemble, and Dundee-born composer/producer Andrew Wasylyk. Hailing from south of the border are two young stellar saxophonists: Birmingham-based former BBC Young Jazz Musician Of The Year Xhosa Cole, and the London-based, Nigerian-born Camilla George.

Making journeys to Glasgow from further afield are American soul singer Geno Washington, accompanied by The Ram Jam Band, prolific Icelandic pianist Sunna Gunnlaugs, Spanish composer and pianist Marco Mezquida and his trio, and American master trombonist Steve Turre's Sextet.

Xhosa Cole

Special events include a Radiohead Reimagined concert in which ten Glasgow jazz musicians will collaborate to rearrange tracks from Radiohead's extensive discography, and Late Night Jam Sessions taking place every evening of the festival at Nice n Sleazy.

Commenting on his inclusion in this year's line-up, Fergus McCreadie says: 'I’ve loved coming to Glasgow Jazz Festival since I was a teenager and it’s always been amazing to see how the scene unifies around this event, especially at the Late Night Jam Sessions – it’s particularly great to see those able to return this year. The festival is a great event in the calendar and I’m really excited to be doing a solo show at Mackintosh Church this year, which will be completely improvised. The space is amazing, acoustically it’s great, so I’m looking forward to improvising and seeing what comes out on the night.'
