Gomez, Dogs, Raging Speedhorn announce Scottish shows
Dogs, Raging Speedhorn, Ben Otwell of Gomez and Ted Leo and the Pharmacists are among the artists who have announced Scottish shows this spring.
Ben Otwell, the specky fella with the Tom Waits-ian, gravelly voice that has made Gomez such a compelling proposition over the years, plays a solo show at Gilmorehill G12, Glasgow on 18 May, while the excellent, politically-charged English modish rockers (yes, they’re like The Enemy but good) Dogs will play ABC2, Glasgow on 30 April.
Superseding the trouser press as the biggest thing to come out of English market town Corby in recent years, ferocious hardcore metallers Raging Speedhorn come out for their tenth anniversary with a show at the ABC2, Glasgow on 13 April.
Less intense but no less entertaining are Washington DC's Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, who come out in support of fifth album Live with the Living with a date at the Beat Club, Glasgow on 16 April.
Other shows announced today include Natty at Nice’n’Sleazy, Glasgow on 1 April and Story of the Year at QMU, Glasgow 23 May.
