Hidden Door Festival postponed until spring 2021

The alternative arts festival was set to take place in a secret Edinburgh venue in October
Hidden Door has announced the postponement of this year's festival to spring 2021. The 10-day award-winning festival was set to take place in a secret Edinburgh venue in October with a programme showcasing a variety of talented performers and visual artists.
'The current situation means we are unable to move forward with so much of the work needed to deliver a 10-day multi-arts festival in a secret new venue,' the Hidden Door team said in a statement. 'It takes many months to pull together our packed programme of inspiring content, and with so much on pause right now we need to ensure it is the best possible event for our artists, our audience and the city.'
Hidden Door still plans to stage something in October if possible, but noted that this would be a smaller one-off event. The full 10-day festival is now expected to take place around May 2021. Tickets previously purchased for this year's festival will be valid for the new dates in 2021.
The festival noted that it is currently looking into ways to provide positive online content in the coming weeks and months to bring artists, performers and audiences together during these difficult times and to support the creatives who are struggling as a result of the current situation.
