Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival’s 10th anniversary with be headlined by Manchester indie rock band James and Glasgow rockers Twin Atlantic.

James, formed in 1982, produced one of the Bella’s most celebrated performances in 2007. 12 studio albums have racked up 13 million sales worldwide, and provided hits such as ‘Come Home’, ‘Sit Down’ and ‘She’s A Star’.

Twin Atlantic continued James’s streak of creating legendary Bella performances into 2008, packing the goNorth Seedlings stage so full that the audience had to watch the gig sitting down. Now, Belladrum has given them their first festival headline.

Also performing are The Straits, consisting of former members of Dire Straits, who will bring some of their greatest hits to Bella. British band Noisettes will also be attending, making their first appearance at the festival.

Saturday Hothouse Stage will be headlined by garage rockers The Horrors. The festival will also feature King Charles, indie artists Admiral Fallow and Rumours of Fleetwood Mac. Celtic rockers and Bella veterans Peatbog Faeries will also appear, having previously played in 2007, 2005 and the first ever Belladrum Tartan Heart back in 2004.

First timers to the festival include acoustic folk hip hop artist Lucy Spraggan and soul artist Jacob Banks (fresh from touring with Emeli Sande).

The Black Island Brewery Grassroots stage will be headlined by Scots folk star Dougie Maclean OBE, supported by folk singer Martin Carthy. Performing on the same stage will be Gavin James, Rick Redbeard of the Phantom Band, folk-pop trio Stealing Sheep, and swing-jazzers Shipcote and Friends.

The festival will also feature It’s a Beautiful Day, a band created during San Francisco’s 1967 ‘Summer of love’, and folk rockers Treetop Flyers, who won Glastonbury’s 2011 emerging talent competition.

Rounding off the festival’s stellar cast are Celtic rockers The Dangleberries; Johnny Cash-playing punks-and-cowboys combo Jericho Hill; ska band Victorian Trout Conspiracy; unsigned indie stars Fatherson; plus Scooty and the Skyhooks, Brown Bear and the Bandits, Skerryvore, Feis Rois, Caledonian Ceilidh Trail and Toby Michaels Rolling Damned.
