Rock'n'roll legend to bring 80th Birthday Farewell UK tour to an end 10 Sep at Clyde Auditorium

The history of music can't be told without Jerry Lee Lewis in it. More than 60 years after his first live performance, 'The Killer' is now ready to hang up his boots and step on stage for the last time, but not before playing his biggest hits to British fans. If you don't want to miss Lewis' final ever UK show, then hurry up and take note: it will take place in Glasgow Clyde Auditorium, on Thu 10 Sep.

Lewis has already sold out his Sun 6 Sep London show, so this is your last opportunity to witness the dazzling piano solos and breathtaking guitar runs of classics such as 'Great Balls of Fire', 'Whole Lot of Shakin' Going On', 'Breathless' and 'High School Confidential'.

Renowed guitarists such as James Burton and Steve Cropper, not to mention Grammy Award winner Albert Lee, take up positions in the main man's supporting band. In addition to a handful of surprises special appearances from Peter Asher and Ladyva, Lewis also welcomes on stage his relatives Linda Gail Lewis and Anne Marie Lewis.

As he turns 80, Lewis can look back on a storied career that has seen him share the stage and record alongside legends such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Mick Jagger, Bruce Springsteen and B.B. King – to name but a few. Since his debut studio work in 1958, Lewis has released 37 other albums, which pathed his road to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 1986, and to a lifetime achievement Grammy in 2005.

Despite being on a farewell tour the musician has already promised that another album is yet to come, the last coming in 2014. 'It will be Jerry Lee Lewis all the way – rock and Jerry Lee-style country blues.'

Glasgow Clyde Auditorium, Thu 10 Sep, tickets on sale now.
