José González has announced two shows in London to mark the twentieth anniversary of his debut album Veneer. Tickets for the shows go on general sale at 10am on Friday 20 January.

The album, released in 2003, became a sleeper hit in part for González’ tender cover of ‘Heartbeats’, originally by Swedish synth-rockers The Knife. Since the album’s release, González has had songs featured in Red Dead Redemption, formed folk-rock band Junip and released three more albums under his own name.

These two unique evenings at London's Barbican Centre will see Veneer played in full, as well as a few choice hits from the Swedish troubadour's back catalogue.

Listen to ‘Heartbeats’ below.

José González’ 2023 UK tour dates:

Friday 9 June – The Barbican, London

Saturday 10 June – The Barbican, London

Tickets for José González go on sale at 10am on Friday 20 January.
