Scotland's 'most intimate outdoor festival', Jupiter Rising, is set to return this summer to the award-winning and iconic Jupiter Artland sculpture park for the second year running. The festival which is limited to only 1,000 attendees has announced a diverse line-up of artists from around the world who will perform on the 29–30 August weekend.

The festival's music programme is set to feature a wide variety of both Scottish and international acts across all genres, including Scottish Album of the Year Award and Scottish Electronic Musician of the Year winner Auntie Flo, who will headline the festival on Saturday night and showcase his unique fusion of electronic and world music.

Also on the bill is Glasgow's Free Love, who have been featured on the Scottish Album of the Year Award shortlist twice in the past. The duo will perform two unique sets on partner stages hosted by Night School Records and Lost Map. Both labels will showcase their artists from over the years, with special performances taking place across the festival site. Full line-ups for all partner stages, which also includes Glasgow's OH141, will be released over the coming months.

Free Love
French producer, instrumentalist and DJ Neu Grafik will present his latest and ambitious project, Neu Grafik Ensemble. Also announced as part of the music programme are electro pop group Hen Ogledd, South African cello soloist Abel Selaocoe, Brighton buzz band Penelope Isles, English folk/avant-garde singer David Thomas Broughton, Scottish/Portuguese artist and producer SHHE, Scottish multi-instrumentalist Kapil Seshasayee and lo-fi/contemporary folk artist Rachael Dadd.

The festival's cinema programme will include screenings by iconoclastic video artist Pipilotti Rist, and Linder Sterling, the renowned artist who designed for bands including the Buzzcocks and Morrissey. Art programme highlights include a new exhibition by Tracey Emin, as well as contributions by Glasgow Zine Library, Communal Leisure, Edwina Ashton and Sam Hasler. Artists will present modern-day reinventions of installations by Allan Kaprow, the American artist who introduced the term 'happening' into 1960s counterculture. Finally, Joana Vasconcelos once again will present colourful swimming for anyone willing to take a dip.

Jupiter Rising is a family-friendly festival with a variety of workshops and activities for all ages. Kids under the age of 12 attend for free and family camping passes are available for purchase. The festival openly encourages those lucky enough to attend to 'explore, discover and celebrate underground and DIY practice alongside established and international artists'.
