King Tut’s Revolution returns with a month of emerging Scottish talent
The Glasgow venue’s showcase returns with more than 80 up-and-coming acts across indie, pop and rock

King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut is starting the new year with a packed month of live music from Scotland’s next wave of artists. Throughout January 2026, the Glasgow venue’s New Year’s Revolution series will take place every Wednesday to Sunday, turning the 300-capacity space into a showcase for home-grown talent.
Since it opened in 1990, King Tut’s has been a launchpad for countless Scottish acts who’ve gone on to bigger things, from Lewis Capaldi to Bemz and Fatherson. The January festival has become a key date for anyone who likes to spot rising stars before they hit the big time.
This year’s lineup brings together more than 80 acts across indie, pop and rock, including Diva Down, Stratus, Brodie Barclay and Juan Laforet, alongside names like Val Mavis, Ewan Mckenna, Comfort Girl and Carmen.
For dedicated gig-goers, the Golden Ticket offers access to the whole month’s shows and a chance to squeeze a year’s worth of new-music discoveries into a few weeks.
