Edinburgh's Leith Depot, which has been operating solely as a bar/restaurant since the pandemic, is set to relaunch an in-house events programme hosted in a brand new, accessible venue space.
The independent music venue is set to open on Thursday 19 January, with Edinburgh singer-songwriter Callum Easter playing its inaugural (sold out) gig at 8pm.
One of Leith Depot's owners, Julie Carty says: 'We’re excited to welcome a brand new, accessible, small and intimate venue space to Leith Walk. We’ve moved to a ground floor unit beside our existing bar and restaurant. And we’re looking forward to hosting events again, and the year ahead'.
Continuing opening celebrations on Friday is Vitamin C, a monthly event hosted by resident DJs Vic Galloway and Andy Wake who'll spin a mix of 'psych, dub, krautrock, cosmic disco, jazz, post punk, African, rock 'n' roll, soul, paradise classics, Arabic/Asian funk and rarities'. The event on Friday 20 January, featuring local synth pop duo MARANTA and DJ Grandmother Flash, has also sold out, but tickets for future months will be released soon.

In order to prepare for the big opening, Leith Depot have a few planned closures throughout January:
Monday 9 – Thursday 12 - closed
Friday 13 – Saturday 14 - bar open from 5pm
Sunday 15 – Tuesday 17 - closed
Wednesday 18 - bar open from 12pm
