Glasgow post-rock five-piece Mogwai are back with a brand new album to bring in 2014, as well as added tour dates for their UK fans.

Rave Tapes, set for release on Mon 20 Jan 2014, will be Mogwai’s eighth studio album, and the first since 2011’s Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will (unless you count their 2012 Hardcore Will Never Die remix album, A Wrenched Virile Lore, and their 2013 soundtrack to French TV series Les Revenants).

Fans eager to hear what the album has to offer can listen to the brand new track 'Remurdered' below.

To coincide with the news of their album release date, the band have also extended their UK tour with two new shows added in Newcastle and Manchester.

The Glaswegian quintet will be playing in front of their home crowd on Tue 28 Jan 2014 at the Royal Concert Hall.
