2011 X Factor winners will tour UK after release of debut album

The newest all-girl group sensation Little Mix has announced its debut tour for January 2013. The band, which was formed exclusively from individual entrants in X-factor under the tutelage of N-Dubz's Tulisa Contostavlos, was the first group entry to win in the competition’s eight year history. Originally formed as Rhythmix, the band won the 2011 X Factor competition and released its hit single Wing shortly afterwards in August 2012.

The group is signed to Simon Cowell's label Syco Music, under which their debut album will be released in November 2012. Band members Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall performed a cover of Damien Rice’s Cannonball as their winning single on the TV music competition. Both Cannonball and Wings came top in the charts in when they were released in 2011 and 2012 respectively.

Little Mix has has recently brought out an autobiography entitled Ready To Fly, in which the girls talk of speed-dating with Jedward and their heady rise to stardom. Of their upcoming tour, the girls enthused: ‘It’s so exciting that we’re about to go out on our first tour! We’ve spent most of the year recording our album and we can’t wait to see our fans again.’
