Magic Mike XXL reveals new trailer and more

Stripper sequel starring Channing Tatum hits UK cinemas and male egos in July
Just when you thought you'd recovered from watching a leather-trouser clad Matthew McConaughey wriggle around in Magic Mike, Warner Brothers go and announce a sequel. Now, they're bringing out the big guns (in the case of Channing Tatum's upper arms, quite literally), with the release of the second trailer for Magic Mike XXL.
Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Kevin Nash, Adam Rodriguez and Gabriel Iglesias are all returning to the spotlight, having originally starred in the 2012 box office hit. However, Matthew McConaughey and Alex Pettyfer, who hit the stage in the first movie, are either trapped in a black hole or, actually we have no idea what Pettyfer is doing.
The cast has also received a boost from actresses Elizabeth Banks, Amber Heard, Jada Pinkett Smith and Andie MacDowell. Not that anyone really cares.
Set three years after Mike gave up on his stripper life, and with his former troupe ready to step down from the podium, the beefcake gang decide to go out swinging and thrusting with one last big performance together in Myrtle Beach. On the road to that last show, the Kings of Tampa learn some new moves, revisit the past in surprising ways, and gerenally bring happiness to bronzed-torso loving people everywhere.
Magic Mike director Steven Soderbergh apparently has more important arty things to do (like turning Raiders of the Lost Ark into a silent, black and white film), leaving all the excitement to Gregory Jacobs, who steps up from producer on the first to fill the director spot here. Lucky boy.
You can get all hot and bothered over the trailer below – move over Christian Grey, Magic Mike is back.
Magic Mike XXL opens in UK cinemas 3 Jul.
