According to the doc's IMDB page, Durst is 'the key suspect in a series of unsolved crimes', including 'the disappearance of his first wife'. Aileen Wuornos: The Selling of a Serial Killer – This 1992 documentary tells the story of Aileen Wuornos, an American serial killer. Wuornos' story was also explored in the 2003 film Monster, which starred Charlize Theron. Available to watch on Netflix.
West of Memphis – This 2012 documentary explores the case of the West Memphis Three - three teenagers (Damien Echols, Jessie Misskelley Jr. and Jason Baldwin), who were convicted of murder and sentenced to death, but who maintained their innocence. Available to watch on Netflix.
Serial – This award-winning podcast proves that audio files can be just as powerful as television when it comes to compelling stories. Season 1 investigated the 1999 murder of 18-year-old student Hae Min Lee, and Season 2 is currently exploring the story of Bowe Bergdahl, a US soldier who walked off his post in Afghanistan in 2009 and was captured and held by the Taliban for nearly five years.
