Melting Pot music festival announces line-up

Melting Pot music festival is set to return to Queen's Park recreation ground this May with a line-up spanning techno, disco and jazz.

Acts confirmed to perform in the Big Top across Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 May so far include London DJ collective Horse Meat Disco, The Rebecca Vasmant Ensemble, David Barbarossa, James Holden, Manchester's Homobloc creators Homoelectric, and many more.

Headlining on Saturday 6 May are New York City disco trio Odyssey, known for soul-tinged hits like 'Native New Yorker', 'Inside Out' and 'Going Back To My Roots'. On Sunday, as part of an Optimo (Espacio) takeover, Belgian electronic duo Charlotte Adigéry and Bolis Pupul will make their Scottish festival debut.

Mark Mackechnie, Festival Director, says: 'We’re really looking forward to bringing this great event back home to the southside of Glasgow. This is the most ambitious line-up we’ve put on to date - add that to our continued partnership with Heverlee and Optimo, food from the Big Feed and the various performers we will have across the site, DJs and great live acts. It’s going to be memorable.'

Optimo's Keith Mcivor adds: 'Last year’s Queen’s Park Recreation Ground event was one of our very favourite gigs of 2022. The atmosphere was electric and there is no party like a Glasgow party! We are very excited to be back again this year with a hand picked line up of some of our most loved artists.'
