Metallica add UK dates to M72 world tour: How to get tickets

Metallica have announced a bundle of UK tour dates as part of their M72 axe-wielding trot across the globe. Tickets for the shows go on sale at 10am on Friday 30 May. Scroll to the bottom of this article for a detailed list of the band’s UK performances.

The archdukes of American heavy metal have promised a return to their No Repeat Weekend tradition, with each night of the two-show stands featuring entirely different setlists and support line-ups, giving fans the chance to hear deep cuts alongside the hits.

Starting at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 June, the band will then hit stadiums in Glasgow, Cardiff and London throughout June and July of 2026. They'll be joined by Gojira, Pantera, Avatar and Knocked Loose.

When we last reviewed Metallica way back in 2017, our critic Henry Northmore wrote: ‘A Metallica gig is a full body experience. Unsurprisingly the older material hits hardest. “Welcome Home (Sanitarium)” is like a lightning rod pumping electricity into the pit. “For Whom The Bell Tolls” and “Sad But True” are like rolling thunder crushing all before them. 2016's Hardwired... To Self-Destruct captured the classic Metallica sound and the newer cuts slot seamlessly into their set, particularly “Moth Into Flame”.’ Read the full four-star review
