Muse have returned with a brand-new single, and with it plans for a large-scale tour of the UK and Europe. Tickets for the tour go on general sale at 10am on Friday 19 June. Scroll to the bottom of this article for a detailed list of the band’s UK show dates. 

Dubbed the The Wow! Signal Europa Tour, the announcement comes as the long-running band lay the groundwork for The Wow Signal!, their tenth album which is set for release on Friday 26 June via Warner Records. 

Numerous singles have already been released in anticipation of the album, including ‘Be With You’, ‘Cryogen’, and ‘Hexagons’, the first of which garnered more than three million streams in its first week. 

According to a press release, the album name is taken from ‘a powerful 72-second radio burst detected in 1977 originating from the constellation Sagittarius. The astronomer who discovered the anomaly famously circled the now-iconic sequence “6EQUJ5” and wrote “WOW!” on the printout beside it — giving the signal its name and cementing its place in scientific and pop-culture lore.’
